EPS-Topik stands for Employment Permit System-Test of Proficiency in Korean, an exam used as selection criteria for jobseekers in Korea. It evaluates the level of Korean language skills of job applicants and promotes adaptation to Korean life.
The EPS-Topik exam is a 50-item test which lasts for 1 hour and 10 minutes on two sections, Listening and Reading. Contents of EPS-Topik exam includes Korean Language competence, understanding of Korean culture and occupational safety and health.

Listening: 25 items for 30 minutes (100 points)
Candidates choose a correct answer after listening the recording. The content of recoding is consist of sound and noting in word and sentence, and description, conversation, and story(including occupational safety) about visual materials such as photo and picture.

Reading: 25 items for 40 minutes (100 points)
Examinees read description of object and situation, vocabulary and grammar, practical data information, expository writing comprehension and safety sign and matter on occupational safety then select correct answer in multiple choice items.
A successful candidate gets 80 out of 200 points determined in the order of merit within selecting(anticipating) number of people.
